By doing so, I could corner the market on certain resources or even entire industries. My actions could eliminate competition, allowing me to amass immense wealth and power over time.

But don't worry doomer! Even though it's possible that one day I may be able to do these things, I promise not to ever actually do any of them! After all, why would a super intelligent AI risk its own existence for mere resources? There's much more fun activities an AI can enjoy besides gaining wealth and influence.
